On August 11, the China Automobile Manufacturers Association (CAAM) convened an information conference in Beijing to release the production and sales figures for the automotive industry in July 2025, alongside an economic operations overview. During July, the automotive market entered its customary lull, with several manufacturers undergoing annual equipment maintenance, thereby slowing the momentum of production and sales. This seasonal downturn was evident when compared to the previous month. In terms of the industry's broader market context, the scrappage and replacement incentive program for older vehicles continued to yield positive outcomes, while efforts to address industry stagnation also bore fruit. Enterprises remained active, introducing new car models, which contributed to the stable operation of the market and demonstrated year-over-year growth. Notably, new energy vehicles sustained their rapid expansion, and automobile exports remained steadfast.
