Xpeng Chairman He Xiaopeng has disclosed that he engaged in a thought-provoking discussion with Xiaomi's Lei Jun about the imperative of subjecting pure electric vehicles to a 24-hour endurance test. He further announced that the latest Xpeng P7 will indeed undergo this grueling evaluation. Notably, Xiaomi's YU7 Max test vehicle previously impressed with a marathon-like distance of 3,944 kilometers during similar tests. Lei Jun highlighted the multifaceted challenges of such a test, encompassing high-speed driving, range efficiency, rapid charging capabilities, and effective heat dissipation.

The new Xpeng P7 stands out with its standard 800V high-voltage architecture, offering a remarkable range of 525 kilometers after just 10 minutes of charging and boasting a maximum range of 820 kilometers. Accelerating from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in approximately 3 seconds and reaching a top speed of 230 kilometers per hour, the P7 is a testament to cutting-edge electric vehicle technology.
