CCTV-4 recently aired "Lu Jian Interview: Dialogue with Zhang Yanzhong," featuring Zhang Yanzhong, an academician at the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the chief designer of the large aircraft independent project. In the interview, Zhang Yanzhong disclosed the latest advancements in the C919 and the domestic engine Changjiang 1000A. Addressing the concern that the C919 has yet to secure airworthiness certificates from Europe and the United States, Lu Jian inquired about the challenges involved in overcoming this hurdle. Zhang Yanzhong responded with confidence, stating that China is well-equipped to address the issue and that the C919 has indeed met the airworthiness standards set by both Europe and the United States.
