In July 2025, the estimated wholesale sales of new energy passenger vehicles nationwide amounted to 1.18 million units, marking a 25% increase year-on-year and a slight 4% decline month-on-month. Among the leading manufacturers, BYD secured the top spot with sales of 341,030 units, followed closely by Geely Automobile with 130,124 units. Changan Automobile, Tesla China, and SAIC-GM-Wuling rounded out the top five, respectively. Notably, Xiaomi Automobile made a significant debut, ranking 13th with sales exceeding 30,000 units for the first time. However, production capacity limitations have resulted in a relatively extended delivery cycle for Xiaomi. Despite being an off-season month, the new energy vehicle market demonstrated resilience, with standout performances from certain manufacturers driving overall sales growth.
