The first half of 2025 has witnessed the unveiling of the rankings for Chinese auto exports. Mexico emerged as the leader, exporting 234,500 vehicles, marking a robust 30.7% year-on-year increase, largely fueled by the surging demand from local markets for automakers such as BYD. The United Arab Emirates closely followed, exporting 214,300 vehicles, representing a 58.5% year-on-year growth, driven by the overall expansion of the Middle East market and the export initiatives of brands like Geely. Russia, ranking third, exported 171,000 vehicles but experienced a significant year-on-year drop of 59.2%, primarily impacted by import restrictions and elevated loan interest rates. Other notable auto export destinations include Brazil, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Australia, the Philippines, and Kazakhstan.
