A jury in Florida, USA, has determined that Tesla bears partial liability for a 2019 autonomous driving accident that claimed one life and left another person injured. As a result, Tesla has been mandated to pay approximately $326 million in damages to the victims and their survivors. This sum comprises $129 million in compensatory damages and $200 million in punitive damages. Tesla contends that the accident was a result of the driver's actions, whereas the plaintiffs assert that Tesla's Autopilot technology is flawed and its marketing is misleading.
