Chenglong Truck has released a statement this evening, asserting that Lixiang One, during the launch event for its inaugural pure electric SUV, the Lixiang i8, utilized a collision test video that constituted a violation of its rights. The video depicted the Lixiang i8 engaging in a head-on collision with a heavy-duty truck, resulting in the truck's wheels bouncing and the cab detaching from the cargo box. This footage sparked widespread online debate, with netizens identifying the truck involved in the test as belonging to the Chenglong brand. While Lixiang One intended for the video to demonstrate the safety capabilities of its vehicle, Chenglong Truck maintains that its rights have been infringed upon and is insisting that Lixiang One immediately cease the infringement.
