Tesla's Robotaxi service in Austin has undergone a pricing revamp, marking the second iteration of its fare structure. Initially launched in late June with a flat fee of $4.2 per ride, the company has now adopted a "dynamic pricing" model. This innovative approach calculates the fare based on the trip's distance, offering more affordable rates for shorter journeys and higher fees for longer ones. According to estimates, a journey spanning approximately 11 miles (or 17.7 kilometers) is expected to cost around $13.7.
