Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. has recently filed a patent for a groundbreaking fixed-wing deployment and folding mechanism tailored for flying cars. The mechanism comprises a wing body plate, two fixed wings, and an intricate deployment and folding assembly. The fixed wings are seamlessly connected to the wing body plate via the assembly, allowing for a symmetrical distribution on both sides of the YOZ plane. When deployed, the wings stand perpendicular to the second direction, facilitating flight. Conversely, in the folded position, they are perpendicular to the first direction, dramatically reducing space occupancy. This innovative design not only enables convenient folding of the fixed wings but also allows the flying car to seamlessly navigate conventional roads and effortlessly fit into standard parking spaces.
