South Korea Surpasses 3 Million Eco-Friendly Vehicle Registrations for the First Time

On July 28, the South Korean government announced that the burgeoning demand for hybrid and electric vehicles has propelled the cumulative number of eco-friendly vehicle registrations in the country to surpass the 3 million mark for the first time. As of the end of June, the total number of registered vehicles in South Korea stood at 26.41 million, marking an increase of 110,000 from the previous month. Notably, the number of eco-friendly vehicle registrations has reached 3.11 million, representing a year-on-year growth of 13.1%.
