The 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference concluded on July 28, with Shanghai's demonstration of intelligent connected vehicles garnering significant attention. Han Dadong, the Deputy Director of the Automotive Industry Department at the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, disclosed that Shanghai intends to progressively expand autonomous driving zones. The city aims to achieve full-area opening of autonomous driving test roads in Pudong New Area by the end of this year, excluding key busy areas like Lujiazui, while simultaneously fostering the opening of regions such as Fengxian and Minhang. Specifically, Minhang District will open crucial areas like the Hongqiao Hub, whereas Fengxian District will not be fully open due to the currently limited application scope.
