On July 28th, WeRide proudly announced that its Robotaxi has been granted Saudi Arabia's inaugural autonomous vehicle permit, positioning the company as the sole global technology enterprise holding autonomous vehicle licenses in China, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, France, and the United States. This landmark achievement allows WeRide to roll out Robotaxi services across Saudi Arabia. Collaborating with Uber and AiDriver, the company has already commenced pilot operations in Riyadh, with full commercialization anticipated by year's end.
