The Vice President of Xpeng Motors has recently refuted online rumors regarding a cost reduction plan for the G6, emphatically stating that these allegations are false and disclosing that the company has initiated both internal and legal actions to address them. The rumors had suggested that Xpeng Motors intended to slash the prices of its three existing G6 models by 10,000 to 20,000 yuan, with expectations of implementing these cost reductions in models produced during the fourth quarter of this year. In March of this year, the 2025 Xpeng G6 was introduced, priced between 176,800 and 198,800 yuan. All variants come equipped with the Turing AI Intelligent Driving System, featuring advanced intelligent configurations and Qualcomm Snapdragon chips, offering a driving range of up to 725 kilometers and an impressive energy efficiency of 12.5kWh per 100 kilometers. The G6 is underpinned by an 800-volt high-voltage silicon carbide platform, powered by a single-motor rear-wheel drive system.
