During the 8th World Artificial Intelligence Conference held in Shanghai, a fresh batch of demonstration operation licenses for intelligent and connected vehicles was issued, with Pony.ai, Baidu Apollo, and AutoX being among the pioneers to secure approval. Pony.ai, in partnership with Jin Jiang International Hotels, has introduced autonomous ride-hailing services in Pudong's Jinqiao and Huamu districts, enabling passengers to effortlessly hail Robotaxis. Furthermore, Pudong has unveiled its third batch of roads designated for autonomous vehicle testing, extending the total length of open test roads in Shanghai to over 2,700 kilometers, which now encompass parts of the central urban area.
