On July 21, the global automotive giant Stellantis Group announced a staggering loss of €2.3 billion (approximately RMB 19.3 billion) for the first half of the year, primarily attributed to factors including heightened tariffs imposed by the US government. The conglomerate, which encompasses brands like Fiat, Peugeot, Chrysler, and Jeep, has witnessed a persistent decline in sales within the North American market. Notably, sales in the second quarter plummeted by 25% compared to the same period last year. Stellantis Group emphasized that the US tariff policy stands as the primary catalyst behind this dramatic sales downturn.
