The Chongqing Municipal Economic and Information Technology Commission is seeking public feedback on the "Yu Chain Smart Engine" Action Plan for the Smart Connected and New Energy Vehicle Industry Chain in Chongqing (2025-2027). This plan underscores the need to bolster industrial innovation support by pinpointing key areas such as smart cabins, intelligent driving, smart chassis, intelligent vehicle control, automotive software, and automotive chips. It outlines a series of major special projects designed to amplify investments in basic research and drive breakthroughs in pivotal core technologies.

Furthermore, the plan fosters collaboration among Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), component suppliers, universities, and research institutions to establish smart connected and new energy vehicle innovation hubs. These hubs will focus on in-depth research and development of key technologies. Simultaneously, the plan supports enterprises, universities, and third-party institutions in the establishment of national key laboratories. By 2027, it is anticipated that five municipal-level innovation hubs will be established, achieving breakthroughs in over 50 key core technologies.
