Chongqing has unveiled the "Intelligent and Connected New Energy Automobile Industry Chain 'Chongqing Chain Smart Engine' Action Plan (2025-2027)", with an ambitious goal of establishing a globally renowned cluster for the intelligent and connected new energy automobile industry by 2027. The plan envisions achieving an operating revenue of 700 billion yuan for the smart and connected new energy automobile parts sector, supported by a robust network of 1,000 enterprises, including 500 specializing in automotive electronics. Additionally, the plan outlines the consolidation of five key support systems: infrastructure development, artificial intelligence and automotive software, vehicle-road-cloud integration, logistics and export services, as well as testing, maintenance, and battery recycling services. This comprehensive approach aims to forge an intelligent and connected new energy automobile industry ecosystem characterized by holistic partnerships, software-hardware integration, scenario-driven innovation, digital transformation, independent research and development, and brand elevation.
