Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. has announced that its Oppama Plant, situated in Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, will discontinue production by the conclusion of fiscal year 2027. As a strategic move within its global restructuring plan, the plant's production activities will be shifted to its subsidiary, Nissan Motor Kyushu. The company has emphasized that it will explore diverse utilization opportunities for the Oppama Plant post-production cessation and commit to maintaining employment for all staff until the end of FY2027.
