China Huaneng has decommissioned the world's largest direct-drive floating offshore wind turbine in Fuqing, Fujian province. This turbine, with a single-unit capacity of 17 megawatts and a rotor diameter spanning 262 meters, represents a significant milestone in China's offshore wind power equipment manufacturing sector. Notably, all critical components of the turbine are domestically sourced, boasting an annual power generation capacity of 68 million kWh, sufficient to meet the electricity demands of approximately 40,000 households.
