MIIT Launches Feedback Platform for Key Automakers to Uphold Payment Term Commitments

On July 9, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) inaugurated an online feedback platform dedicated to addressing breaches by prominent automakers concerning their payment term obligations. This platform primarily targets four categories of issues: automakers failing to meet the 60-day payment term pledge; establishing unrealistic payment term start dates or delaying the issuance of conformity certificates to indirectly prolong payment terms; contingent payment upon receipt of third-party funds; and payments based on the payment ratios of third parties.
