On July 9, Zhou Haibing, Deputy Director of the National Development and Reform Commission, announced at a press conference hosted by the State Council Information Office that the number of new energy vehicles in China is projected to reach 31.4 million by 2024. This figure represents a more than fivefold increase from the 4.92 million recorded at the conclusion of the 13th Five-Year Plan.
