The XPeng P7+, which has been on the market for a mere eight months, has recently been engulfed in controversy over steering defects. Early adopters have taken to social media to report steering failures while driving, including on highways, sparking widespread concerns about personal safety. These owners have voiced their suspicions about the vehicle's steering gear interface, questioning its flawed waterproof design, which they believe can result in water ingress and subsequent short circuits. In response, the after-sales service is implementing a solution involving the application of structural glue to the steering gear. However, this measure has not assuaged owners' concerns, and a rights protection group consisting of hundreds of affected individuals has already formed.
