Dubai is poised to embark on pilot tests for autonomous vehicles in collaboration with Pony.ai. As per the agreement, a fleet of Robotaxis will undergo operational testing in 2025, paving the way for fully driverless commercial operations to commence in 2026. These services will seamlessly integrate with the metro, trams, and other transportation networks. Over the next two years, Pony.ai aims to expand its Robotaxi fleet to thousands of vehicles. Highlighting its technological prowess, the seventh-generation model, which debuted at the Shanghai Auto Show, is fully automotive-grade for mass production. Equipped with cost-effective autonomous driving kits and multi-model adaptability, production of this model is anticipated to commence in the second half of this year. Currently, Pony.ai holds operating licenses in various regions worldwide and is actively broadening its user base through strategic partnerships with multiple mobility platforms.
