As reported by the Bangkok Post, Nezha Auto Thailand stands at risk of having to reimburse over 2 billion baht (approximately RMB 438 million) in government subsidies, stemming from its failure to meet the production targets it had committed to in the Thai market. According to Thailand's electric vehicle subsidy program regulations, automakers who participate but fail to meet the stipulated subsidy conditions are obliged to return the entire subsidy amount. Nezha Auto Thailand had set a production target of 19,000 vehicles for this year; however, it has only managed to produce approximately 4,000 vehicles so far, marking a substantial deviation from its goal.
