On June 25th, it was reported that between June 1st and 22nd, nationwide retail sales of passenger vehicles surged to 1.269 million units, marking a year-on-year increase of 24% and a month-on-month rise of 8%. Since the beginning of the year, cumulative retail sales have reached 10.086 million units, reflecting an 11% year-on-year growth. During this same period, new energy passenger vehicles recorded retail sales of 691,000 units, witnessing a 38% year-on-year jump and an 11% month-on-month increase, with a market penetration rate of 54.5%. Cumulatively, from the start of the year to date, new energy passenger vehicle sales have amounted to 5.049 million units, representing a 35% year-on-year increase.
