On June 25, Lei Jun, Chairman of Xiaomi Group, addressed concerns about the pricing of the YU7 Standard Edition on Weibo. He clarified that, while the YU7 Standard Edition is priced 20,000 to 30,000 yuan higher than the SU7 Standard Edition, this reflects not inflated pricing but rather its exceptional configuration. Lei Jun highlighted that the YU7 Standard Edition boasts a high-end array of features, comparable to the Max or even Ultra versions of rival products in the industry. These features include an LCLTC range of 835 kilometers, lidar technology, a Thor chip with 700TOPS of computing power, and an expansive horizon screen. The exact pricing will be unveiled at the official launch event.
Furthermore, Lei Jun expressed confidence that the YU7 will not cannibalize sales of the SU7, emphasizing their distinct positioning as different products. He believes that following the launch of the YU7, the SU7 will continue to hold its ground in the market, remaining a top-selling sedan option.
