On June 19, the First Department of Equipment Industry at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Quality Development Bureau of the State Administration for Market Regulation, and the Fire Supervision Department of the National Fire and Rescue Administration collaborated to host a virtual conference, centering on the imperative of strengthening safety management for new energy vehicles in the current year. The conference underscored the paramount importance for manufacturers of vehicles and power batteries to assume primary responsibility for product quality and safety, encompassing every facet from product design validation, production, and manufacturing to after-sales services. Emphasis was placed on bolstering risk prevention measures, ensuring transparency in information dissemination, educating consumers on proper vehicle usage, and strictly prohibiting exaggerated or misleading promotional activities. Furthermore, enterprises were urged to adopt a long-term perspective, refrain from unfair competitive practices, rigorously ban any short-term efficiency-boosting actions that compromise product quality, and unwaveringly uphold the fundamental principles of safety and quality.
