During his address at MWC25 Shanghai, Huawei's Deputy Chairman Xu Zhijun emphasized that the telecommunications industry has reached a plateau of stable development and is confronted with significant growth hurdles. To navigate these challenges, he outlined four strategic approaches: Firstly, to stay ahead of the curve by anticipating and capturing the burgeoning demands of new user groups, such as riders and live streamers; secondly, to foster the generation and consumption of high-definition video traffic through systematic engineering initiatives; thirdly, to accelerate the integration of 5G with intelligent connected vehicles, anticipating that by 2025, 30% of passenger vehicle sales in China will feature 5G Internet of Vehicles technology, with this figure gradually rising to 95% from 2026 to 2030; and lastly, to harness the potential of FTTR for connecting individual businesses, thereby seizing the opportunities presented by intelligent development. These strategies collectively aim to sustain and propel the growth of the telecommunications industry forward.
