The world's largest roll-on/roll-off (ro-ro) vessel, the Anji Hongsheng, embarked from Taicang Port on its maiden voyage to Europe. Commissioned by SAIC Anji Logistics, this colossal ship measures an impressive 228 meters in length and 37.8 meters in width, boasting a remarkable capacity of 9,500 standard car spaces, thereby setting a new global benchmark. On this significant journey, the Anji Hongsheng will transport over 8,000 Chinese automobiles, with more than 4,000 of these vehicles hailing from the Shanghai Jiading-based automaker SAIC MG brand. The vessel's route will see it traverse ports such as Lianyungang and Yantai.
