In May, year-on-year growth was observed in the output of 326 products within the above-scale industry. Notably, steel production increased by 3.4%, while cement production declined by 8.1%. Non-ferrous metal production saw a 2.9% uptick, and ethylene production surged ahead by 14.4%. The automotive sector experienced a robust 11.3% rise in production, with new energy vehicles experiencing a remarkable 31.7% increase. Additionally, electricity generation registered a modest 0.5% growth, whereas crude oil processing volume declined by 1.8%.
