Tesla's latest Model Y/3 models have ditched the traditional physical gear shifter in favor of a screen-based and roof button system for gear shifting. In recognition of user dissatisfaction with this new shifting mechanism, merchants have introduced a service to retrofit a physical gear shifter. This service is designed to be installed without causing any damage or modifying the vehicle's wiring, thus maintaining the original screen-based shifting functionality. Nonetheless, the addition of a physical gear shifter may impact the vehicle's original warranty, and Tesla has yet to issue an official response on this matter.
