A recent viral video online has captured the amusing scene of two autonomous delivery vehicles engaged in a 'standoff' in the middle of a narrow street in Baoji, Shaanxi province. Unlike human drivers, these vehicles did not attempt to reverse or maneuver around each other, resulting in a traffic jam that amused netizens. The vehicles in the video bear the logos of Yunda, STO Express, and 'Jiushi Driverless Vehicle.' It is known that Yunda's autonomous delivery vehicles are already operational in Baoji, equipped with features such as automatic braking and obstacle avoidance, and each trio of vehicles is overseen by a safety officer. This incident could be seen as a testament to the challenges in path planning and emergency handling capabilities of such autonomous vehicles.
