The 2025 China Auto Chongqing Forum took place from June 6th to 7th, featuring a closing plenary session address by Yin Tongyue, Chairman of Chery Holding Group. In his speech, Mr. Yin underscored the responsibility of Chinese auto brands to adhere to rules and uphold industry standards. He outlined three key development strategies: Firstly, bolstering investment in innovation to guarantee safety and quality; secondly, fostering brand upgradation to enhance business efficacy; and thirdly, elevating the standards of internationalization while maintaining a long-term perspective. Mr. Yin stressed that price reductions are a desperate measure in competition, urging automakers expanding overseas to eschew price wars and mutual defamation. Instead, he advocated focusing on quality, safety, and service to deliver substantial value to local markets. Furthermore, he emphasized that the automotive industry must return to its core principles and strive for high-quality growth, affirming that Chery will refrain from engaging in price wars.
