Bloomberg: Meituan Steps Up Overseas Drone Delivery Expansion, Naming Dubai as Its First Stop

Meituan is intensifying its global footprint and aims to extend its drone delivery services to Dubai. As of the end of 2024, the company has established 53 drone delivery routes within China, facilitating nearly 500,000 deliveries. Looking ahead to the second half of this year, Meituan anticipates adding 2 to 3 delivery routes in Dubai and 4 to 5 in Shanghai, with select routes traversing the Huangpu River. The company foresees that in the future, 10% to 15% of global instant delivery orders will be fulfilled by drones.
