The national standard initiative, titled "Intelligent Connected Vehicles: Safety Requirements for Combined Driver Assistance Systems," was proposed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and is being carried out by the Intelligent Connected Vehicles Subcommittee of the National Automobile Standardization Technical Committee. The project's primary drafters encompass esteemed entities such as China Automotive Technology and Research Center Co., Ltd. This comprehensive plan, with a duration of 22 months, was officially announced on June 4, 2025. Its overarching goal is to establish mandatory national standards, unify the functionalities of combined driver assistance systems, bolster product safety, mitigate the likelihood of safety incidents, and foster technological advancements across related industries.
