On June 1, the Commercialization Forum of Intelligent Connected Vehicles at the Third Future Automobile Pioneers Conference convened at the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center. The conference revealed that Shenzhen, a pioneer among China's initial test cities for intelligent connected vehicles, has launched the nation's first comprehensive set of road openness technical guidelines, encompassing the entire city, all vehicle types, and various scenarios. Xu Wei, Deputy Director of the Shenzhen Municipal Transportation Bureau, announced that as of May, Shenzhen had opened 2,101 kilometers of test and demonstration roads, accounting for 24% of the city's total road network and leading among China's first-tier cities. Furthermore, Shenzhen has issued the country's first L3-level high-speed road test license plate and autonomous driving micro-truck test license plate, with a total of 1,170 test and demonstration permits granted to 20 enterprises. Xu Wei also noted that Shenzhen is revising its regulations for road testing of intelligent connected vehicles, aiming to permit driverless testing and reduce the sampling inspection ratio, thereby fostering a more open and inclusive innovation environment.
