Atsuki Tofukuji, President of BYD Japan, has announced the company's intention to launch an affordable mini electric vehicle (EV) in Japan next year. Tailored exclusively for overseas markets, this model will not be available in China. The introduction of these mini EVs, commonly referred to as "Kei Cars," presents BYD with a prime opportunity to secure a slice of Japan's approximately $18 billion mini-car market.
