BYD emerged as the frontrunner, investing 53.19 billion yuan in research and development, closely followed by Xiaomi Group with 24.05 billion yuan. SAIC Motor, NIO, Li Auto, and Geely Auto also secured prominent positions on the list, each allocating over 10 billion yuan towards R&D.
