During the 2025 (Third) Future Auto Pioneers Conference on May 31, Yu Chengdong, Executive Director of Huawei and Chairman of the Terminal Business Group, disclosed that Huawei will concentrate its efforts exclusively on the development of five pivotal 'sectors'. He noted that initially, the strategy entailed focusing on just four domains, but due to various shifts and developments, this figure has risen to five. Chengdong stressed that Huawei's resources are already stretched thin and that five represents the company's limit. This additional sector was included following extensive deliberations and endorsements from multiple stakeholders.
