Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. has announced the recall of 1,715 imported G-Class vehicles, effective from May 30, 2025. These vehicles were manufactured between April 2, 2024, and October 11, 2024. The recall is necessitated by a software discrepancy in the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) control unit. In the event of a hardware malfunction within the ESP system, the warning message presented on the instrument cluster may be inaccurate, failing to adhere to applicable national safety standards.
