COMAC has handed over its initial C919 aircraft of the year to Air China, as part of a broader plan that sees Air China, China Eastern Airlines, and China Southern Airlines scheduled to receive 10, 10, and 12 aircraft, respectively. The C919 has ushered in new connections from Shanghai to Shenzhen, Xiamen, and several other cities, now serving a total of 16 destinations. Currently, 18 C919 aircraft are in active service, operating across more than 20 routes, boasting over 36,000 hours of safe flight operations and transporting over 2.05 million passengers. On May 28, the C919 will mark its second anniversary of commercial service.
