On May 28, it was reported that the Department of Consumption Promotion of the Ministry of Commerce had recently convened a two-day symposium, spanning from the 26th to the 27th, to delve into the market for zero-kilometer used cars and to bolster the circulation and consumption of used vehicles. Among the participating organizations were the Aftermarket Branch of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, the China Automobile Dealers Association, and the China Automotive Technology and Research Center, among others. Corporate representatives from Dongfeng Group, BYD, Yuantong International Trade, Shandong Huatong, Douyin Group, and Guazi Used Cars also attended the event.
According to a source within Dongfeng Group, the primary objective of this symposium was to steer the export of used cars and establish regulations for the zero-kilometer used car market. This insider further affirmed that automotive companies had willingly enrolled in the symposium, emphasizing its voluntary nature.
