According to a recent survey conducted by UBS, the global share of consumers considering Tesla for their next purchase has slipped from 39% to 36%. Furthermore, the percentage of those who prioritize Tesla as their first choice for a pure electric vehicle (EV) has decreased from 22% to 18%. In the Chinese market, this trend is even more pronounced, with BYD and Xiaomi emerging as the top choices, relegating Tesla to third place. The proportion of Chinese consumers preferring Tesla has dropped from 18% to 14%, suggesting a growing preference for local brands. This shift highlights a decline in Tesla's position as a technology leader in the eyes of Chinese consumers.
