The fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) industry in South Korea has witnessed a dramatic downturn this year, with recent industry data released on Wednesday revealing substantial declines in both domestic sales and exports amid insufficient demand. According to statistics from the Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association (KAMA), hydrogen fuel cell vehicle exports plummeted to a mere 18 units in the first four months of this year, marking a stark 70% decrease from the same period last year. Domestic sales fared no better, reaching only 965 units, sparking fears that annual sales figures may soon reach an all-time low.
