On May 27, the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) released data revealing that Tesla's sales in Europe plummeted by 49% year-on-year in April, with only 7,261 vehicles sold. Furthermore, sales from January to April declined by nearly 40% compared to the same period last year. The decline in Tesla's sales in Europe can be attributed to several factors, including tarnished brand reputation and intensified market competition. Despite the introduction of the upgraded Model Y, Tesla's overall model lineup appears outdated and lacks new models tailored for the mass market. Additionally, European consumers show a preference for hybrid electric vehicles, which command a market share of slightly over 35%. Unfortunately, this is a segment where Tesla has yet to make significant inroads.
