In April 2025, the list of best-selling car models across Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai was released, showcasing a dominant presence of new energy vehicles (NEVs) that claimed the majority of the top 20 positions. Xiaomi SU7 emerged as the frontrunner with 9,219 units sold, closely trailed by Tesla Model Y and Geely Xingyuan. Additional NEV models from brands like Lixiang, NIO, and BYD also secured spots on the list. While traditional fuel vehicles, such as the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class, maintained their presence, there was a marked surge in demand for vehicles equipped with intelligent features. The widespread acceptance of NEVs in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai can be attributed to the advancement of local charging infrastructure and favorable government policies.
