Tesla's "Full Self-Driving (FSD) Beta" feature has recently come under scrutiny once more. A YouTube video has surfaced, depicting a Model 3 veering off a straight road segment, colliding with a roadside tree, and rolling over after activating the FSD feature. Miraculously, the driver escaped with only minor injuries. The accident occurred under optimal road conditions with ample lighting and without the complication of heavy traffic. Tesla's reliance solely on cameras and AI algorithms, without the integration of LiDAR or millimeter-wave radar, has been called into question. As a result of this incident, the vehicle owner has expressed a complete shift in their perception of the FSD system, vowing never to use it again. The owner has formally requested accident data records from Tesla, who has yet to issue a public response.
