Tesla has recently rolled out a trade-in program for the Cybertruck, spotlighting the vehicle's significant depreciation issue. Since its delivery in late 2023, the Cybertruck has faced market challenges, including price hikes and performance that fell short of promotional claims, contributing to a backlog of unsold units. For a 2024 AWD Foundation Series model with 6,000 miles on the odometer, Tesla's trade-in estimate stands at $65,400, marking a steep depreciation of 34.6% within just one year. This figure far surpasses the average depreciation rate of approximately 20% typically observed for conventional pickup trucks.
