During the period from January to April 2025, total automobile production in China amounted to 10.12 million units, marking an 11% year-on-year increase. Notably, new energy vehicle (NEV) production surged to 4.4 million units, representing a remarkable 44% growth and achieving a penetration rate of 43%. In contrast, fuel vehicle production dipped to 5.72 million units. In April alone, the added value of the automobile industry rose by 9.2%, with a cumulative increase of 11.2% from January to April, indicating an overall robust performance across the sector.
