Tesla has published its vehicle safety report for the first quarter of 2025, revealing that Tesla vehicles equipped with Autopilot technology encounter an accident once every 7.44 million miles traveled. This represents a substantial enhancement compared to prior statistics. For Tesla vehicles without Autopilot, the accident rate stands at one every 1.51 million miles. Both of these figures significantly outperform the national average of one accident every 702,000 miles in the United States. Tesla acknowledges that adverse weather conditions can influence accident rates to some degree, but overall, the accident rate for Tesla vehicles remains notably low.
